Directors and Officers

 

Alvaro Castillo – Managing Director

 

-         Mr. Castillo was raised and educated in Madrid, Spain.  He later moved to Mexico City where he began his professional career as a Financial Analyst.

-         Mr. Castillo has held an executive position since 1986.  He began as a private banker with Chase Manhattan Bank and later moved to Lehman Brothers, where he became a Senior Vice President.  In 1995 he was hired as the Senior Executive Director of Investments at Oppenheimer & Co., and in 2001 he joined Salomon Smith Barney as Senior Vice President of Wealth Management.

-         In 2006 Mr. Castillo created Loyola Asset Management, and today he is one of the most sought after Private Wealth Managers.

 

-         Mr. Castillo holds a Bachelors of Science from the Florida Institute of Technology, an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, and several certificates including a CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst) from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Jaime Domenech – Vice President of Investments

 

-         Prior to joining Loyola Asset Management, Mr. Domenech worked in the Private Equity Fund of Inbursa (Carlos Slim’s financial arm) looking for investment opportunities in Argentina. He also worked in Telmex reporting to the Director of Investments where he oversaw the investment of more than 300 million dollars in technology companies across Latin America and the United States

-         Jaime also worked for Santander Investments managing seven mutual funds listed in Mexico and the Emerging Mexico Fund listed in New York City.  Total assets under management were greater than 1 billion dollars.

-         Mr. Domenech has worked also in the Strategic Planning Department of Grupo Autrey and in Booz Allen & Hamilton as a consultant.

-         Jaime received his MBA in Finance from the University of Texas, and a Bachelors degree in engineering from Universidad Anahuac.

 

Milagros Perez Leal – Vice President of Operations

 

-         Millie was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York City. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science from the College of New Rochelle in New York. 

-         Millie Perez Leal began her career at Bear Stearns New York, where she received her title as Vice President of the Latin America Division. Millie was responsible for servicing high net worth Latin American investors and implementing investments for fifteen years.

-         Millie later moved to Miami, FL in 1995 and joined soon after the Alvaro Castillo team as a Financial Consultant with Oppenheimer & Co.  In 2001 she joined Salomon Smith Barney as a Registered Marketing Associate with the Alvaro Castillo group.

 

Nicholas Patiño – Financial Consultant

 

- Graduated  in 2004 with a B.S. B.A. in International Economics from the University of Florida.  While attending the University of Florida, Nicholas participated in the exchange program with the MBAI Institute in Paris, France. It was during this period that he received a specialization in the global economy.

 

- Nicholas began his apprenticeship in the summer of 2004 with the Alvaro Castillo Group and was later hired as marketing and sales assistant in 2005.
